A few of us gathered in the B&F to do the obvious, sighted. Perhaps a photograph of the glasses will be used on the cover of The Book.

Cr60. Glorious red, 45% opaque. Very soft but still full-bodied. Wonderful. Big red-cherries Port, with some heat mid-palate.

Red in colour with orange rim. Light seville oranges on nose and in the mouth; flavour fully mature and very smooth, full and long. Lovely port.

Mid-red colour, brick red in tone; 60% opaque. Slightly spirity with a toffee and rose petal nose. Lovely caramel and biscuit entry but a wave of fierce spirit on the mid-palate that takes a long time to mellow to a modest mouthful of pepper. Spicy and fiery aftertaste leaving a warm glow around the lingering red licorice finish. This is a perfect fireside port. 87/100. Decanted 14 hours
