50% opacity, red-brown, orange rim. Slightly cloudy. Nose of dusty cherries and super sweetness. Lively entry and quick to some mild heat & acidity. Quite short citric palate with a longer aftertaste.

Very deep red colour with a bricking rim; 90% opaque. Lots of sediment had settled to the bottom of the glass. The wine produced a big nose out of the glass of dried cranberries and a hint of pine. More of the pine comes through on the entry and is rapidly followed by a big mouthful of harsh and sour fruit. The fruit is huge and mouthfilling with hints of tannins showing on the late palate. The tannins also show on the aftertaste which is hot and acidic and allows the alcohol protrude. The finish of dark chocolate is of modest length. 93/100. Drunk 13-Dec-16. Decanted 3 hours.

N31. Dark red, 70% opaque. Nose of sweet dark fruit. Palate has heat early, with Tayloresque grittiness. Big dark plums, mid-sweetness, and like the ’27, cloying. After some time in the glass there was still big concentrated plum fruit, with heat and also mint. I wrote “But I don’t love it”.
