The cork from this bottle was branded ""Hunter & Oliver Vintage 1933 Bottled 1935 in Coronation Year"". The shipper is not known but only a small number of producers shipped a 1933 vintage, one of which was Quinta do Noval.

Light red in colour and very light in pigment, being only 10% opaque. Gentle on the nose with an elegant nose of fresh raspberries. Fragrant and perfumed entry, mouthfilling and with hints of tannins showing in the gentle and elegant finish. There is a lovely strawberry paste aftertaste, long and lingering milk chocolate finish. This is a lovely port in an elegant style but two hours later had started to fall apart and was sweet, flabby and lacking in structure. 95/100. Decanted 1½ hours.

?33, bottled by Hunter & Oliver, perhaps Noval. Pink-red, 25% opaque. Smoke on nose. Palate starts with heat, then pink cherries, and good weight. Later become high-toned, with mint on nose and palate. SCD right suggested “bubblegum”.
