Deep red with a strong inviting aroma of juicy black plums and an underlying but vague mystery 'dental' aroma - not unpleasant and somewhat reminicisent of a dried herb I couldn't recall. After sipping three glasses, on the trot, I decided discretion was the better part of valour and beat a retreat.
Tannin rich - but not chewy - which seemed to evaporate quickly as I held onto the wine which became opulent with a long finish. Noticeable oily in the glass.
It was fresh tasting but lacking the berry fruits I was led to expect. Labelled as unfiltered but no sediment.
Nevertheless another wonderful wine and wish I had a second bottle to tuck away for future comparison.
