Garnet side of purple. Vague aroma of sweet plums. Mild heat with blackberry and some spice mid palate.
On subsequent days the flavours unfolded and the wine became a tad drier, smoother and more interesting.
Incredible value and a serious alternative should our current favourite special reserve become unavailable.
