English bottled by an unknown bottler. Deep red in colour, mature and attractive appearance. Full, rich and spiced on the nose just inviting you to take a sip. When you do you get a complex mouthful of all spice and milk chocolate raisins that combines sweetness and spiciness in the most amazing manner to deliver a rich and delicious palate experience with lovely layering. Warm apple compote and an elegant cinnamon aftertaste leads to a long and elegant finish. This is really fine drinking and probably at its peak - unanimously wine of the night. Served blind this was guessed to be Warre 1970. 94/100. Drunk 20-Sep-16. Decanted 12½ hours.
