1945 Warre

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep reddish-brown, 40% opaque. A lovely developed and mature nose, full of leathery fruit, clover honey and hibiscus flower. Soft and smooth entry, perfect poise with toasted sugar leading cranberry and rose hips. Dry on the palate. Dry burnt sugar on the aftertaste and finish; a great length. Lovely refined port. Served blind this was guessed to be Graham 1955. 94/100. Drunk 25-Sep-16.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
