1970 Graham

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Oxblood red, 90% opaque. A wonderful and typical Graham nose of Christmas fruits spiced with cloves. Silky entry with the mature spiced fruit promised by the nose, sweet but balanced and with soft tannins. Mouthfilling and charming without being shy in any way. Lovely spicy and slightly peppery finish with a great length of sweet redcurrant. Lovely port. 93/100. Drunk 27-Sep-16. Decanted 4 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
