1995 Quevedo Colheita (bottled 2012)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2012. Deep red-mahogany in colour, 90% opaque. Furniture polish and beeswax on the nose with some fresh lemon acidity. A touch hollow on entry, hinting at more but not filling in immediately. Clover honey and a lot of acidity on the palate with date and dried figs all over the mouth. A lovely finish, tasty and full of the sweet dates, and a good long finish ending with a mouthful of burnt sugar. 87/100. Drunk 28-Sep-16.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
