2014 Quinta do Passadouro

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep purple colour, almost black in tone. Faint sweet fruit on the nose, but not much else. On the palate this is restrained at first but the pure, sweet fruit shines through, riding on a wave of tannins delivering great grip amidst the lovely fruit. Delicious finish, chewy and full of fruit. Another winner from 2014, highlighting the consistent feature of this vintage with elegant and pure fruit. 92-94/100. Tasted 07-Nov-16.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
