1970 Warre

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Wonderful brick-red colour; 30% opaque. Delicious nose combining herbs and spices with lots of mature fruit. Smooth and refined entry which build beautifully with cedar and tobacco amidst the raisin fruit. Hunger-inducing aftertaste, full of aniseed and juniper that is just slightly hot. 92/100.

Drunk at the Berry Brothers Port Walk on 24 Nov 2016.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
