T77, decanted 14:30. Dark red, 60% opaque. Nose sweet with red cherries. Palate of lovely mature Port, red fruits and excellent-melded sweetness.

Lovely mature look, a pleasant red colour around 50% opaque. Lovely fruity nose, really delicious and inviting with a sweet entry bringing very sweet fruit with a lovely fragrant tone to the candied cherry flavours. Great development showing good layering on the palate. Really nice if slightly light in texture. Gentle tannins still present with lots of acidity and lots of fragrance. Big on the aftertaste, lots of dark chocolate and a slightly sticky red jelly finish that goes very grassy at the end. Served blind, this was guessed to be Warre 1970. 90/100.
