Ck67, decanted 14:30. Glorious red, 50% opaque. Palate started with very strong liquorice. Also soft red fruits. Long and full — this showed very well indeed. Would have added further pleasure to a table of ’66s.

Pale red-rose colour; 30% opaque. Muted nose, some gentle fruit. Lovely thick texture full of mature fruit. A very enjoyable mature flavour but possibly missing just a bit of depth and concentration compared to perfect port. Delicious jelly aftertaste and a great length of finish that covers a multitude of phases and flavours. Very enjoyable. Served blind this was guessed to be Dow 1985. 90/100.
