G55. Red, 40% opaque. Lots of heat and sugar. Slightly simple, but very very long.

25% opacity, mature red, brown-amber rim. Sweetness on the nose. Great structure, sweetness, oranges/marmalade. Syrupy, very gentle acidity in the finish and a massive aftertaste.

Unknown UK bottler. Lovely brick red colour, 50% opaque. Empty on the nose showing absolutely nothing! Nice texture on entry, but not as thick as the others from this vintage. Rather hollow and lacking in flavour, surprisingly devoid of fruit. A lot of work brings out some sweetness and a nice offsetting acidity, but the palate is thoroughly lacking in fruit. Sweet aftertaste with green woody hints on the slightly burnt caramel finish. This is lacking on the nose and the palate and is not what I would hope to experience from a good bottle of Graham 1955, but the very respectable finish saved the wine from complete ignominy. 89/100. Drunk 06-Apr-17. Decanted 3 hours.
