O55. Orange, 25% opaque. Lighter than most, though like most quite dry. Soft and more than fully mature.

30% opacity, amber. Nose slight;y sharp, though vanilla notes and tart oranges. Smooth, syrupy, heat and acidity mid to late palate. Sweetness, oranges.

Oporto bottled. Burnished orange colour, 30% opaque. A gentle nose of mature fruit spiced with tobacco to give a spicy and lively nose. Nice thick texture on the palate, which seems to be typical of the 1955 vintage. Resilient acidity supports a big and bold orange and elderflower flavour. Delicate and floral, the aftertaste is sweet and has generous levels of orange. This is a wonderful mature port with lovely refined flavours yet still lively and bright. My joint favourite of the 1955 ports on the night. 95/100. Drunk 06-Apr-17. Decanted 3½ hours.
