Mature red colour, brick in tone; 40% opaque. Rather odd and dusty on the nose with mature fruit that is surprisingly tropical with ripe mango and pineapple. A swirl releases rose hip and fresh, sweet redcurrant. Silky smooth entry with sweet and luscious fruit - very sweet - with dusty icing sugar in the palate. Dusty tannnins are almost fully resolved and the palate slowly focuses to become strawberry chews. A lovely palate, balanced and flavoursome. The aftertaste is delicious and full of strawberries; the strawberries persist throughout the long finish. This is really lovely, if slightly sticky. Served blind that was guessed to be Martinez 1967. 88/100. Drunk 19-Apr-17. Decanted 6 hours.

Ck67, decanted 15:00. Red-brown, 30% opaque. Big velvet, heat mid-palate. Big, red-fruited, and heat very strong, somewhat dry. Drink up.
