CrR67. glorious red, 50% opaque. Palate of sweet red fruit, including maraschino cherry. The least developed Port, the ‘youngest’, at the table. It and Noval the only two with any chance of improvement.

40% opacity, red, rich colour. Smooth entry, mild heat late palate. Red fruits - cranberries. Good freshness. I liked this.

Mid red, light and quite orange in tone; 30% opaque. Subdued nose with candied lemons, of all things! Burnt brown sugar creates a touch of harshness in the sweet barley-sugar mix. The aftertaste is sweet and pleasant and leads to a brown sugar finish. Enjoyable, but not up to the standard of some of the other ports on show this evening. 85/100. Decanted 6½ hours.
