40% opacity, red-brown, yellow rim. Sweet candy and toasted marshmallow on the nose. Silky, syrupy, smooth, balanced. Oranges, great balance. Many years left in this.

Cork branded "Gould Campbell 193" so presumed to be 1934. Copper brown colour, 50% opaque. A lovely nose with gentle cinnamon and delicate caramelised fruit; very attractive nose. Gentle flavours, elegant but a little dried out with bruised bananas leading on the palate. Dry aftertaste and a lingering finish full of bitter orange oil. This is a very nice port which is drying out. 87/100. Decanted 2 hours.

GC34: pink-red-red, 30% opaque. Light, lid-length. Starting to dry out — only a decade left in this. Like the ’27, boiled sweets.

Later delicious candy sweetness.
