40% opacity, red. Rich, sweet nose. Smooth, slightly bitter red fruit, cranberries. Dryness.

Deep red colour with a magenta rim and - interestingly - no bricking; 70% opaque. Still youthful on the nose with vibrant berry fruit. Smmoth entry with a nice texture and a very pleasant fruit forward palate. A lovely balance with the ghosts of tannins and perfect acidity that supports a delicious spice to the fruit. Soft and lingering on the finish, this is a modest, balanced and very pleasant port. 88/100. Decanted 4½ hours.

GC70: Nose I wrote “seafood”. Very very long, full soft and sweet.
