Drunk at the Graham's Lodge at the end of a tour of the new visitors centre. Ex-cellars.

The replacement bottle. This had a good, solid colour with a narrow rim. Despite the lack of time in the decanter, this showed a delicious esteva nose, soft and elegant. On the palate this had a soft texture and showed dry tannins with generous fruit that is mature and plentiful. The gentle tannins come through on the aftertaste giving a soft charcoal flavour to the lingering loganberry. Delicious now, but a port which will be better in 5-10 years. 89/100. 20-Jun-17. Pop 'n' pour.
