Drunk at the Casa Ribeira Restaurante (where they do an excellent suckling pig). Bottle was sourced from a London house clearance.

Brick red colour, mature in appearance; 70% opaque. A lovely nose of mature fruit, softly spiced steeped raisins and bitter cranberries. The port has a wonderful balance and texture on entry delivering a nice clean mouthfeel, dry but with plenty of ripe fruit. Fruit dominates the mid-palate with mace and all spice livening up a plethora of dried fruits. The finish matches the quality of the rest of the experience, with lingering flavours of sour cherry. This was a very fine bottle of a terrific port. 95/100. 22-Jun-17. Decanted 5½ hours.
