Tasted at a Blind Emergency on 1st August 2017.
Low shoulder fill. A pale golden ochre colour but still 40% opaque. A little oxidised on the nose and, sadly, showing little else. On the palate this initially shows a little toffee then a huge wave of acidity numbs the palate before finishing with a hint of butterscotch. Hot and peppery on the aftertaste, this settles down to allow lingering butterscotch and a touch of red apple that combine to give a nice fragrant. While light and delicate, this has been clearly affected by the low ullage. Served blind this was guessed to be Dow 1970. 78/100. 01-Aug-17.
