Bottled 2017 (from the code printed on the label). Tasted in the BA Galleries Lounge (South) in Heathrow Terminal 5 (along with the Warre 2000 colheita).

Dark red in colour and with a very narrow rim. Soft blackcurrant fruit on the attractive nose. Softly textured on the palate; gentle ripe and sweet bramble fruit over a balanced and modest core of soft acidity and very restrained tannins. The tannins only show from the slight dryness to the cheeks as the wine is swirled around the palate. Fruity and fragrant aftertaste with a bit of a kick and a good finish. A very pleasant port, simple and straightforward but driven by the fruit with the balance constructed around that core. 88/100. Drunk 12-Oct-17.
