Does anyone remember whether this was from a Bordeaux bottle or from a pota bottle?

Very deep red but much more brick in tone than the Gould Campbell. Powerful nose of astringent cranberry, nettles and bitter brambles. The palate is very different from the nose bringing sweet and fragrant fruit. Lots of strawberry dominates the fruit but the acidity keeps the fruit fresh and focused. The tannins are still present, providing a soft underlyer to the palate. This is a big mouthful on the palate, yet is poised and balanced. The aftertaste is wonderful, big and perfectly highlighting the near-perfection of the wine and precedes quite a sweet finish with highlights the spot-on tannins. This is really, really fine port. 97/100. 19-Dec-17. Decanted 6½ hours.

Neither - it was from a Niepoort tall bottle, per below (1) Bordeaux, (2) Niepoort tall.

45% opacity, red brown, cloudy. Dusty cherries on the nose. Full mouthfeel, syrupy with some heat in the finish. Very good balance, fruit, cherries and rhubarb, cranberries. Mild tannins linger in the finish. Very, very nice port!

Ni77: glorious red, 50% opaque. Apparently ∃ 1000ml bottles. Big and sweet, with maraschino cherries. Liked, lots.
