In the Hilton London Docklands at £7.70 for a 100ml glass following a suitable explanation to the bar staff about proper selection of glassware and how much to pour

This is what I would describe as "Any Port in a Storm"

As a good friend and renowned port expert once said "port is basically a red drink" - this is exactly what this is.

A slightly stewed nose. The mouthfeel is mid-weight, smooth but not inspiring. It tastes of port. The taste doesn't last for long.

By my arithmetic ("math" for the Yanks), and accounting for the difference in volume, this glass of port is almost exactly 12 times less expensive than the Noval Nacional 1966 I was drinking exactly 7 days ago. The problem is that it is approximately 12,000 times less enjoyable to drink.

Does this mean that NN66 is good value for money?
