2014 Quinta do Pessegueiro

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Mid scarlet in colour with a narrow rim. A nice nose showing bramble fruit and damp country hedges. Modest flavoured entry but a wonderful mid-palate which combines dry and slightly green tannins with big and powerful fruit that is slightly under-ripe so delivers a pleasing bitter-sweet sensation. Big on the aftertaste with lots of fruit and powerful acidity. This is a big punchy port that has a slight touch of rusticity. 85/100. 06-Nov-17.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
