2015 Quinta do Vale Meao

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

7,000 bottles produced. Deep purple with a narrow rim. Blueberries and brambles on the nose leading to a bramble-fruit entry — a touch jammy but the underlying acidity prevents the palate becoming cloying and the fine grained tannins add a nice touch of class. This is nicely balanced on the palate with a pleasant grip. There is a good, fruity aftertaste and a nice complex finish. This is a pleasant and typical expression of the vintage. 88-90/100. 06-Nov-17.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
