1983 Graham

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From the 2017 Berry Brothers Port Walk.

Only 6 years of age between this port and the 1977 Graham shown alongside, but this is enough to create a stunning difference in colour. Deep red, 80% opaque. Gently baked fruit showing on the nose with an unexpected fresh spearmint. Big, sweet bramble fruit and some powdery dry tannins sit at the core of this wine. There are nice floral elements on the late palate. A slight chalkiness to the bramble fruit appears on the aftertaste and a warm, sweet fruit finish of good length takes hold. 90 23-Nov-17
