2012 Quinta de la Rosa

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From the 2017 Berry Brothers Port Walk.

Deep purple colour, opaque centre. Blue cheese on the nose over an odd bruised black cherry. The palate is fragrant with ripe black cherries around a bitter black chocolate tanning core. There are blueberry tones to the late palate. Harsh and slightly lacking on the aftertaste that is dry and full of green tannins but the finish is fine and complex. 86/100. 23-Nov-17.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
