1977 Warre

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From the 2017 Berry Brothers Port Walk.

Pale rose in colour, 20% opaque. Spicy nose with promising bitter-sweet fruit. Warm impact, sweet and ripe with the bitter undertone only coming through later. Complex and with lovely layering, a delicious mouthful but a softer, quieter finish than many ports on show this evening. Not rated as this was one of the last I tasted and I was becoming forgetful. 23-Nov-17.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
