1985 Warre

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From the 2017 Berry Brothers Port Walk.

Mature red ochre colour, 40% opaque. A lovely nose of gently spiced and mature port. Round textured entry, with soft sweet cherry fruit and a dry, powdery tannin core. A perfect level of acidity acts as a foil to tge lovely sweet black wine-gum fruit. There is some acidity on the aftertaste, but this quickly settles to a long black wine-gum finish. This is lovely drinking and still quite young. 90/100. 23-Nov-17.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
