1977 Gould Campbell

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red colour, 80% opaque. Mature nose, full of rich and sweet fruit yet with a hint of cloves. Equally rich and and deep on the palate, with a dry core to the lovely dark cherry fruit. Very youthful; lively and spritely with sweet red licorice. Young, but very good and with a long future. 93/100. 05-Dec-17. Decanted 2 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
