Recognising that this scientific question needed scientific experiment, a round dozen of us gathered to test some 1963s.

Lovely, sweet red cherries, enjoyable. Only just pipped for my 3rd place by the Constantino, and 4th overall for the group also.

40% opacity, mature red. Dusty cherries on the nose. Rich mouthfeel, gentle heat along the palate, cherries, mature and dusty, long finish. Good stuff.

G63: glorious red, 50% opaque. Dark fruits; smoke; huge sweetness. Some disputed whether there was TCA — to which I am not sensitive.
