The 1997 was a big surprise for me. Colourwise very deep, black without any signs of age. The nose was dominated by Hefe, which totally occupied the palate, too. Short and flat aftertaste. This wine tasted like a very fresh cask sample of a wine either in or shortly after the maturation. I had this sensation last when climbing out the lagar at Passadouro last year. Quo vadis? Comments very welcome.
