2016 Graham Stone Terraces

Deep dark red. A nose which is more assertive than the Graham shown alongside and certainly more complete. Beautifully balanced with pure and elegant fruit. The tannins are gently wrapped in their cocoon of fruit and the whole is focused by the gentle but persistent acidity. There is some dryness from the tannins on the finish, but the tannins are ripe and refined and add flavour as well as grip to the generous levels of fruit. Although very good, this bottle did not show as well as the bottle at the Preview Tasting in May. 92-94.

Tasted 12 September 2018.

GST16 Deep ruby red with purple rim. A bit duller than the vibrant colour of the standard Graham's release. Lots of black fruit. Sweet on entry with a rich, full palate and good finish. A very fine port but I thought edged by the standard release.

95% opacity, deep purple. Intense nose, blackberry and bramble. Fruit-filled entry. Some heat mid-late palate, medium level of tannin, medium coarseness. Blackberry. One of my favourites from this tasting.
