The Boot & Flogger has greatly expanded its list of Ports available by the glass due to a purchase of a Coravin. The list now comprises Graham 1994, Taylor 1997 and Dow from 1980, 1985 and 1994.
This Graham 1994 was £18 for a 100ml glass.
Mature red colour about 90% opaque. A wonderful smell pouring out of the glass, rush sweet and fruity. Very inviting. Perfectly balanced entry, showing a little restrained but full of refined fruit and a little drier than I would have expected. Generous complexity with dried fruit merging in with the cherry and red currant. The tannins provide a good background to the complex fruits. A lovely white pepper on the aftertaste and the early finish before a sweet and bitter long fruit finish, full of aniseed and licorice. This is a terrific port, full of refined power. Delicious. 93. Drunk 17-Oct-18. No decant.
