1970 Quinta do Cachão

Post by jdaw1 »

1970 Quinta do Cachão, consumed Thursday 14th February 2008, and from the collection of Jay, who did double-duty as our excellent host.

Very pale, very translucent, clear, but the hue still a good red. Nose of much alcohol, then good red fruit. Perhaps a hint of bottle stink. “Prunes†, said AHB. Heat also overt to taste, and light-weight, but with “good length — actually great length†. I added “buy if cheap†. Uncle Tom Score something like 5/4.
