Another bruiser that is squid ink. Touches of baked dark cherry on the nose. Strawberry and blackberry compote with a candied finish. Quite nice but suffers by following the 1994. 94 points

Vesuvio 1995 was green on the nose (and this one had bottlestink at opening), but in the mouth it was Nice -- not blown away, it was musty early then the fruit came forward as the must faded. Again it has the Vesuvio "bite". 90.

(I liked the 92 & 96 better)
