1985 Taylor

Available from the Oxford & Cambridge Club @ £9 per glass. A lovely mature red, looking very attractive, 90% opaque. Sweet exotic spices and spearmint on the nose. Intense raisin and dates on the palate, rich and beautifully mature with a great depth of flavour. The mint shows strongly on the aftertaste before the sweet red liquorice takes over and lingers for a long time. Very lovely, and fully mature. Delicious current drinking. 93/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
