Medium red in colour with baked red fruit on the nose. Neutral on the palate at first, this develops gentle fruit and soft tannins. The fruit is juicy and fresh and delivers a lovely palate, elegant and refined. Soft and juicy on the finish with plenty of fruit. This is an elegant and fresh Vintage Port. 89-91/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Ch17: Pineapple on nose. Palate massive exotic fruit; mid weight; good pineapple-toned acidity. Lovely now.

C4: Open, concentrated fruit on nose with a slight spirity edge. Dense fruit and yet seems a lighter style. Nice balance, structure not obvious and could be an attractive earlier term prospect.
