A wonderful nose on the wine, distinctly more complex than many of the other wines being shown at the tasting. A great grip on the palate, a grip which is firm and punchy. Lots of beautiful fruit on the palate yet with an impressive tannic backbone. The tannins show a lovely floral quality on the aftertaste and support a long black liquorice finish. A very impressive 2017. 93-95/100.

Lovely red and black fruit on the nose, interestignly watermelon, eucalyptus, milk chocolate and sweet spice. Full bodied with grippy tannins but with a certain freshness and a long finish 17.5/20

RP17: the dryness, strongest mid-palate, hides the sweetness behind. I think this will grow up very well, but isn’t to drink young.

D8: Slightly high toned spirity nose. Redcurrant fruit. Similar notes on palate. Bright, lighter fruit. Decent balance but more spirit than fruit showing today. Classic in its way but not expected from a ‘17.
