Mid red colour with a pronounced nose offering lots of cranberry and slightly unripe redcurrant. A little neutral on entry, this Port really gets into gear on the mid-palate where the elegant and lively fruit is backed by modest tannins and fabulous acidity. This is a lovely Port, fragrant and elegant. 88-90/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

C5: Dense, powerful sweet fruit on nose. Palate powerful with intense sweet fruit and supple structure. Red and black fruits wrapped up within a sweet core. VG+
