2017 Quinta do Noval

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Red in colour, but with no purple in the tone and a wide rim. A relaxed, fruity nose, very floral and full of self-confidence. Perfect balance on the palate and with such elegant, pure fruit and perfumed tannins. Dry tannins coat the mouth on the aftertaste and slowly fade to allow the delicate fragrance on the immensely long finish to shine through. Fabulous youg Port. 95/100. Drunk 29-Feb-20. Decanting time N/K.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
