Tasted from samples provided in the Vintage Wine and Port/Big Fortified Tasting at-home Quevedo white port session.
Whether this should be referred to as a tawny seems to be to for discussion in the Duoro, with some producers doing so and some preferring not to. Either way, this looks like a tawny with that oak colour tinting the wine towards a yellow/orange.
A wine I liked more than other TFP members who were also on the tasting, I believe this was still being refined to set it apart from the Special Reserve; this is not a commercial release yet, so it may differ when on general release. Nutty on the nose, a little orange zest. Buttery oakiness but also dry, with some smokiness.
