Bottled in 2007.
As Tawny is my favourite style, I bought this Colheita a while ago for my birthday. That was yesterday, so I'm writing this TN 24 hours after opening the bottle.
Colour is tawny with still some red left. Both nose and palate are strongly reminding me of a good 10 year old Tawny. The nose is nutty with raisins and a hint of vanilla. The palate is dark and with tastes of caramel and liquorice. I like it.
I don't think it's better than the Messias 10 Anos, but definately not worse either (double the price of the Messias, though). Will probably benefit from spending some more years in the bottle.
Combines well with chocolate ice cream.
