Deep purple, fading slightly. Ever so slightly darker than the Fonseca 2017. Strong nose of young Port: masses of grapes over complex dark fruits. In the mouth, an immediate hit of sugar and fruit, followed by a grip of tannins and some acidity. These are not excessive, however, and an aftertaste soon develops which is long and elegant. This is going to be a very fine Vintage Port.
