Purchased from Wadebridge Wines in Cornwall. A very high fill, just below the base of the 44mm long cork (17mm inner diameter bottle neck).

Filtered through unbleached coffee paper off a small amount of fairly fine sediment. Transparent, but deeply coloured centre with the first signs of bricking at the rim. Lovely nose of sweet bramble jam with a slight high tone. Voluptuous fruit in the mouth with lots of baby fat, hiding a gently tannic and acidic structure; super rich texture and some great complexity in the mid-palate. Long and lingering aftertaste. Really nice wine - my third vintage from Ramos Pinto and I am now convinced that this is a name to look out for in the future for recent vintages. 4/5 or 90/100.

24 hours later, this is probably even better and is really good.
