NV Rozes tawny 10YO (bottled 2004)

Post by uncle tom »

Bottled for the French market in 2004.

Bottle is of unrackable shape, with gold finish... :?

Wine is surprisingly tannic - quite a tooth grinder. Quite raw with a heavy toffee note.

Will probably be much nicer after another ten years in glass.

I have two more bottles - I may decant them into regular shaped bottles so I can store them more sensibly.

This auction lot also contained two bottles of Rozes 40yr that are in bottles that are so squat they look like anti-tank mines - but at least they are litre bottles!

Tom

PS Yes, OK, I'll try to fix a photo...
