Very Clean. Cork came out intact and new. Sediment was fine and only came out right at the end. Smell of blackcurrent but not room filling.
First taste, and its 'clean'. I'm not sure what that means myself. Nothing unusual, not much substance. Light and refreshing. A hint of Tannins, but not overpowering. Mouthfeel is ok, but not creamy. This is going to be pleasant, but probably needs 30 years to become structured and cultured.
I'm enjoying it, but a tad guilty about killing a young one off.

Don't feel guilty, now you know what you need to do with the other 5 bottles

Try to save some for tomorrow as it might show better after some air.

You're right of course, best stored away. But I'm buggered if I'm leaving them until I'm 75! My lot dont live that long. Does Noel Edmonds still do SwapShop?

No. But someone here might. How much did you pay for them?

I'm only joshing. They'll do for emergencies. They were dirt cheap. remember all those web-vouchers I told you about with Tesco's. I think it was around £8 a bottle. You paid a bit more and got more, but used the same vouchers.

Although I double muslined it, I noticed a small swirl of very fine sediment in the glass. Didn't stop me drinking it, or affect the taste. Just surprising. More than half a bottle left for tonight.

I've got half a dozen of these as well. They have been positioned where they are not easily accessible and they are going to stay there for some considerable time.

Having one of the last glasses of this Port, tonight. Still pleasant, but with a dry aftertaste that isn't pleasurable. Also getting a hint of pepper.

87/100

A few days late but did consume this on Thursday night, with a group of grateful college colleagues. Whilst not considering myself an expert I can see why others have suggested this is still on the young side. It was quite spicy but enjoyable.

I am not however sure if I will have the patience to keep the other 2 bottles long term!
