Opened as part of :tpf:’s First Anniversary Celebration (placemats). Double-decanted Wednesday, and allowed to stand, cork on, at room temperature for two days.

brilliant balance of acidity and red currants.

unfortunaltey lacking a nice finish and a good boquet (which was completely lacking ) ...

a solid port for the 17$ price range

Dark purply red, little nose. Great mouthfeel, very smooth, not long. Currant? Cranberry?—yes, cranberry. Odd structure, probably caused by the long decanting time. Maybe 36 rather than 48 hours would have been better. Later a menthol note appeared in the mid-palate.
