Opened as part of
’s First Anniversary Celebration (
placemats). Double-decanted Wednesday, and allowed to stand, cork on, at room temperature for two days.

brilliant balance of acidity and red currants.
unfortunaltey lacking a nice finish and a good boquet (which was completely lacking ) ...
a solid port for the 17$ price range

Dark purply red, little nose. Great mouthfeel, very smooth, not long. Currant? Cranberry?—yes, cranberry. Odd structure, probably caused by the long decanting time. Maybe 36 rather than 48 hours would have been better. Later a menthol note appeared in the mid-palate.
